About me

Hello, my name is Tricia and I am a fitness coach.

I believe the key to success is knowledge and choice. Knowing what to expect, what to do and how to do it. Then you have the choice to take those steps and which direction you take to achieve your goals.

As a fitness coach my aim is to pass on my tools and knowledge and in doing so create your pathway for a healthier and more active lifestyle. You will gain a better understanding of exercise techniques, and of your own abilities.

The human body and function has always been an interest of mine. I have participated in a lot of different sports and gained a lot of insight and perspective from coaches and peers. Four years ago I stepped into my first gym. This was where I really found my passion and thirst for knowledge.

Over this time, I have been learning, studying and practicing the methods and techniques of living an active and healthy lifestyle. Trialing different approaches in order to see what was effective and what was not. As my knowledge grew so did my desire to help and educate others; it was then I decided to become a qualified personal trainer.

Overdrawing from your body bank

I’ve never really been into the whole mind, body and spirit thing. But the last couple of years, particularly now, whilst living in Germany, life has taught me that survival of the fittest is all about finding your balance.

This month we switched to winter hours for our show “Wunderkammer”, which means we now perform 7 x 2 hour shows, 6 days a week. That’s 1 extra show on Sunday. It may not seem like too much of an additional workload, but it totally empties the energy supplies.

I think it is fair to say that we, as the ensemble were quite nervous about the energy reserves coming into the first week of winter hours. Everyone was worried they would be too exhausted to do the extra show or they were going to burn out.
