At some point all athletes will experience the full continuum of under and over training. Some will recover better than others and some will experience the dangerous symptoms associated with Over Training Syndrome (OTS). This goes far beyond the tiredness and exhaustion that comes along with living a physically demanding lifestyle.
From the outside it is seemingly easy to identify when someone is suffering the pitfalls associated with OTS, but when you are the one with, or coaching the athletes with OTS symptoms that are piled on top of personal, professional and athletic workloads, it can be difficult to identify.
My name is Teagan Bryan and I am a fully qualified Personal Trainer with the Australian Institute of Personal Trainers and registered with Fitness Australia.
