Before & after

  • 105kg 105kg
    80kg 80kg

After seeing myself at 105kg I decided it was time to make a change! Bec guided me through a strength and conditioning programme and taught me how to eat right!! Bec was always there to support, and I couldn't have gotten to where I am now without her!.

  • Strong, Fit and Toned are the results you will achieve training with Bec.

For the past 4 years I have dedicated two or more sessions per week rehabilitating my body under the direction of Bec’s Bodies by Design personal training programme.

Bec has transformed my injured, weak and muscle wasted body into a strong, fit and best of all pain free person I am today.

I can now say that I have recovered from my horrific car accident which crippled my once very athletic body thanks to Bec. I have regained the full use of my left arm, re-developed neck strength and significantly reduced my back pain. My long term goals are to strengthen my body to be able to have a baby which Doctors believed would not be possible given my injuries. This is now a reality thanks to the long term support and care from Bec.

I travel over an hour round trip each session for my training for Bec’s skill, professionalism and dedication to keeping me fit.

Each session is different, challenging, fun and well worth the effort. Your body will love you for it.

  • I have always found Bec to be extremely professional and supportive of my fitness goals, offering amazing nutritional advice and challenging workouts (you could say I'm never bored) I love training with her so much that I signed my mum up who is also extremely happy.

In the five years I have trained with Bec I have lost 4kg and been able to maintain it! Not only am I happy with my weight loss result but my overall body health, there is nothing better then feeling strong and healthy.

I would recommend Bec's training style to anyone young to old, fit to unfit as she will be able to challenge you no matter your confidence or experience in the gym.

Thank you Bec my gym sessions would be lost without you.

  • I’ve been training with Bec a little over 12 months, and have struggled with weight loss all my life, during this time I have had my ups and downs, but though this journey of life style change Bec has been there. Bec has given physical, emotional and nutritional guidance throughout to help me loss the weight I need to, I have lost over 30 kg. Bec is an amazing role model and for anyone who wants to lose weight and think they can’t, bec will rewire your thinking and show you that you can. I am now 5 months pregnant and still continue to train with bec 3 days per week.

Preventing snoring

Lifestyle Trainers

Winter is upon us and almost everyone’s favourite activity is sleeping. Going to bed earlier and staying in bed longer on those freezing cold nights. There is nothing like a good night's sleep however one of the biggest disruptions is snoring. A recent article from ninemsn sheds some more light on what snoring actually is and how we can prevent it.

What can you do about snoring?

Finding a way to reduce your snoring can improve the quality of life for you and those within earshot. It's known that even small reductions in body fat can greatly improve sleep quality in snorers, and obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) sufferers. Try some of the following solutions.

  • Stopping smoking will help reduce inflammation in your airways and reduce the intensity of snoring. Elevating your head, avoiding sleeping on your back, and restricting your intake of caffeine before bed can also help.
  • Losing weight and cutting back on alcohol (particularly before bedtime) tends to reduce the severity of snoring, if not cure it altogether.
  • Sleep on your side rather than your back. Try sewing half a tennis ball in a shirt pocket onto your back, which will force you to sleep on your side.
  • Treat nasal congestion. Try natural remedies such as horseradish, garlic and vitamin C.
  • Make sure the air in the bedroom is neither too dry nor too humid. Invest in a humidifier, which encourages your sinuses to drain, reducing nasal mucous and improving airflow.
  • Nasal strips, such as Breathe Right, can help if you snore but don't have an underlying sinus problem. These adhesive strips widen the nasal passages, giving you better airflow.
  • A mandibular advancement device is a mouth guard worn at night that helps keep the lower jaw pushed out, widening the airway and reducing snoring. Studies have shown it is 90 percent effective at reducing noise from snoring. It costs $500 to $1000 and lasts for at least three years.
