  • I started training with Chris Hynds after having two children just ten months apart and having ballooned to 107kg.
    When I first started training it appeared to be the most mammoth challenge I had set myself and impossible in my mind.
    Physically I am 100 times fitter than I ever was, continuing to improve and am down to 65 kg – last time I weighed that was when I got married 16 years ago.
    Over the last couple of years I have had a few injuries and a couple of operations to my left hand. Chris’s background has allowed us to still train and incorporate rehabilitation.
    Chris has endured countless whinging and whining over the last three years we have trained together but it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Changing directions: checking and correcting ourselves

I recently read an article, which asked, “What percentage of the time was the Apollo 11 on course to the moon in 1969?” The answer was a surprising 3%. That’s correct. 97% of the time they were off course and had to correct their course. Fortunately they were able to constantly make those corrections so they ended up at their destination. The idea of correcting course is not so difficult to understand when it comes to travel.

There are very few things that make me happier than being able to assist people in achieving goals they never thought possible and helping steer them in a better direction in life.

Making the right choices with nutrition and the right choices when exercising can all have a positive knock on effect in helping you make the right choices in life. Creating a more positive you!

One of my favourite quotes is a simple one but very effective and its something I personally strive for everyday, inside and outside of the gym.

I have been involved in health and fitness since I left school almost 10 years ago. I studied Sport Performance & Excellence, then went onto work in gyms as a Fitness Instructor and eventually Personal trainer, which I have been doing now for around 6/7 years.

My style of training ranges from Weight Loss, General Fitness, Corrective Exercise/ Rehab, Powerlifting, Bodybuilding, BoxFit, Functional Movement & Core Conditioning and more. I try not to specialise in one aspect but to have a broad but specific knowledge of various styles training.

Personally I train as a Powerlifter / Bodybuilder, I love both the mental and physical challenge of stepping under a heavy Barbell and putting myself to the test every time I step in the gym.

My passion is in Health & Fitness, and I will do everything I possibly can to help assist you in becoming the strongest version of yourself!
